Holby City: In spite of his suspension after the death of Liam Harris, Linden was still at Holby. He was trying to help a Chinese woman, Mrs Tan, who was pregnant with conjoined twins. Meanwhile, Jayne reassured hospital executives that Linden would face the consequences of his 'careless actions'. Maddy grew suspicious about the circumstances surrounding Liam Harris' death. She attended theatre and noticed that Jamie, the anesthetist, wasn't paying attention. Jamie had been assisting when Liam died, so Maddy wondered whether Jamie could have been to blame. Faye returned to Holby from South Africa, hoping for normality. She revealed to Donna her secret engagement, unaware that Jac had already told everyone and arranged a surprise welcome. Faye and Jac shared an uncomfortable exchange and Faye was angry when she realised Joseph had told Jac their news. A disgruntled Faye forgave Joseph for revealing their engagement, after Joseph explained he'd only told Jac out of pride. Faye was adamant there be no more surprises, so was dismayed when Joseph's sister Sophie visited and revealed a family party planned for that evening. Jayne and Linden disagreed over treating the Tans. An interpreter revealed they were in fact illegal immigrants from North Korea, persecuted for being Christian. Jayne sought advice from Ric, who agreed with Linden's assessment that Mrs Tan was at risk from infection and needed attention. Maddy confronted Jamie about his carelessness but he shrugged it off, claiming not to make mistakes. Later, Maddy secretly entered the morgue and took a blood sample from Liam Harris' body. Meanwhile, Joseph made it up to Faye by cancelling the party so they could spend the evening alone.
